Objective:
Our objective through this craft research was to study and document the cultural relevance and methods used in Pattachitra and provide a comprehensive and detailed analysis of this traditional Indian folk art from Odisha.
It seeks to offer a thorough overview of the craft, covering the tools and methods employed, its cultural and social significance, including its use in storytelling, religious and cultural rituals, its role in the preservation of traditional art forms, and the situation of the market today, as well as some prospective suggestions to bring this folk art to a wider range of individuals both domestically and internationally.
